HOW TO LIGHT A CANDLE TO FIGHT CANCER
Relay for Life is an overnight celebration of life dedicated to present and former cancer patients, their families and friends. Relay for Life raises money for the American Cancer Society while raising awareness that cancer can and will be beaten. Luminaria that have been purchased through donations will line the track.
At our Ceremony of Hope at sundown, all luminaria will be lit in memory of or in honor of loved onesand friends who have had cancer. Each luminaria will have the loved one's/friend's name on it.
You do not need to be present or a participant in the Relay to take part in this ceremony. But everyone is invited to attend and to light their luminaria candles. It's the most powerful and moving part of the Relay!

DOWNLOAD THE LUMINARIA ORDER FORM
Download and print the order form on the Forms page in MS Word 6.0/95. Fill it out and mail with your donation to the address provided on the form, or give it to any Team Captain or Committee member for your event. Suggested donation is $10 per luminaria. Please join us in the fight against cancer!

Relay For Life is the signature event of the American Cancer Society and is a team event that promotes survivorship and increases cancer awareness in our community! Across America, there were over 4300 Relay for Life events in 2004! Families, schools, companies, hospitals, and other community groups create teams of 8 to 15 people who take turns walking around a track all night to raise money to find a cure!
