HOW CAN YOU HELP?

HELP US FIGHT CANCER - Get Involved! There are many ways you can participate in and/or support your local Relay For Life. Among the many things you can do to help are:

  • Join the Relay Committee. We are always looking for fresh faces, new ideas, and added energy. If you are interested in joining a Committee, please go to Event Webpages & Dates locate your event, and contact us! If you cannot locate your event, click here for more help.Contact Us

  • Become a Team Captain. The more teams that we get, the more fun and participants we have, and the more money we will raise to fight cancer! Read about Teams for more information.

  • Sponsor Relay For Life. In addition to teams and participants, we need corporate sponsors to help defray the cost of hosting the event. This is a great opportunity to fight cancer while raising your organization's visibility in our community! See our Sponsors page for information.

  • Volunteer your talent. Showcase your talents as part of our entertainment at Relay. Contact us and let us know what you'd like to do!

  • Light a candle. Honor survivors and those who have passed with a Luminaria which will be lit during our Ceremony of Hope.

  • Participate! Join a team and join in the fun, celebration and community unity of Relay! You can find a participation form on our Forms and Flyers page.

  • Share your survival. Come to relay as a cancer survivor and share your experience, support and hope with others. Contact us for information on how to participate as a Survivor.

  • Support Relay participants. If you can't participate or support us in any other way, give support to those who can!

  • Live healthy. See the American Cancer Society site for information on preventing and fighting cancer on a personal level.

  • Spread the word. Download flyers and posters as well as newsletters, print them, and hand them out or post them wherever you can. Be an advocate for fighting cancer!

"It's About Being A Community That Takes Up The Fight...."

Relay For Life is the signature event of the American Cancer Society and is a team event that promotes survivorship and increases cancer awareness in our community!  Across America, there were over 4300 Relay for Life events in 2004!   Families, schools, companies, hospitals, and other community groups create teams of 8 to 15 people who take turns walking around a track all night to raise money to find a cure!
